FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION

We use FCE to determine a worker’s abilities over a variety of physical demands to facilitate his or her functional recovery.

In evaluating FCE, the following are used: questionnaires, simulated and real work, and standardized tests

A standard FCE lasts from several hours to two days, depending on the scope of evaluation done. It usually measures the patient’s strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, body mechanics and cardiovascular condition.
